I think that it is a good idea to install CCTVs as it is more secure because of the imaging capabilities that an alarm doesn't have. It reduces crime rate as terrorist attacks like the London Bombing suspects can be traced down to prevent future attacks. On the other hand, there is a loss of privacy and many people object to this. I myself do not think highly of this idea but won't mind if singapore uses the idea of installing CCTVs around the island.
