Opinion About CCTV ( Lee Jia Ying 22 )
The thought of being monitored by the authorities via the use of CCTV is rather creepy. I am sure that we all need to have our own personal time and privacy, but if there are CCTVs all over the place, there would be no such thing as privacy would there? However it is true that they reduce robberies and loan shark harassments. Thus I feel that we need to weigh it against other factors before implementing it.

I agree with Jia Ying that these CCTVs can rob your privacy. It feels unsafe when you are being watched, especially if whoever is watching you is watching 24/7. What I think otherwise is that for its usage, which is for security, is excellent as like what desmond said, CCTVs are more practical than alarms. I can understand the problem that many people would face but when it comes to CCTVs, you got to trust that it is used mainly for security purpose. overall, there are many pros and cons about installing CCTVs, however I wont be surprised if singapore steps up security with more CCTVs. - dillon wee 11
